Limits.Ohio Edison Pole Relocation ProjectApr. - Aug. 2018(Includes all utilities co-located on poles)2018 Storm Sewer & Culvert ReplacementProposed Construction: Feb. 2018 - Apr. 2018The work included in this project generally consists of replacing failing or deteriorated storm sewer systems. This includes removal and replacement of existing storm conduit, catch basin, headwalls, restoration of any impacted roadway, drive aprons, curbing and lawn restoration. Locations include a culvert at the intersection of Laurel Dr. and Lawnfield Dr., Chamberlin Rd. (north of Ashcroft), Cannon Rd.(between Liberty Rd. and Anthony Ln.) and two culverts on Ravenna Rd. between Depot St. and East Aurora Rd.2018 Joann & Lila Place Reconstruction Project Including Terrace Drive ResurfacingProposed Construction: March 2018 - Aug. 2018This project is the reconstruction of Joann Pl. and Lila Pl. including sanitary and storm sewer replacement. Construction generally includes removal of the roadway and replacement with concrete curb, 6" curb drain, full depth asphalt pavement over cement stabilized sub-grade, storm sewer/storm lateral replacement, storm basins, sanitary sewer/sanitary lateral replacement, concrete aprons replaced, lawn restoration and miscellaneous other improvements. Additional storm sewer catch basins and sewers are also being considered to address rear yard drainage on Joanne Pl. A storm culvert on Terrace Dr. between Sherwin Dr. and Glenwood Dr. will be replaced requiring a temporary road closure. Terrace Dr. will then be milled and resurfaced as part of this project.2018 City-Wide Tree Planting ProgramProposed Work: March-May & Oct. - Dec. 2018The 2018 City-Wide Tree Planting list has been compiled by the Engineering Department and consists of 300 trees to be planted. If you have a tree lawn tree issue, please contact the Service Department at (330) 963-6212.2018 Road Improvements ProjectProposed Construction: May 2018 - July 2018The annual road program is a maintenance program providing overlays to extend the life of the pavement. The following streets are included in this year's program:Block 1: Ridgewood Dr., Serene Ct., Belfair Dr. & Briardale Ct.: Full-width asphalt grinding, concrete base pavement repairs, concrete curb & storm basin repairs, miscellaneous other work and asphalt resurfacing.Block 2: Hermitage Dr.: Full-width asphalt grinding, asphalt/concrete pavement repairs, concrete curb & storm basin repairs, miscellaneous other work and asphalt resurfacing.2018 City-Wide Sidewalk ProgramProposed Construction: May 2018 - July 2018The Sidewalk Program replaces sidewalks that have an offset of 1" or more and are determined to be City responsibility. The City takes responsibility for sidewalk repair for damage associated with City-owned utility failures or damage from street tree roots. To determine City responsibility, the Public Works Department performs both a visual inspection and a video/dye testing inspection of the sewers. After the inspections, the location is determined to either be homeowner or City responsibility. In addition to the replacement program, the Service Dept. performs sidewalk concrete leveling city-wide throughout the summer months.The work being performed in 2018 is for the locations determined to be City responsibility from 2017 inspections.If you want to report a sidewalk concern to determine if it is City or homeowner responsibility, please contact the Service Dept. at 330-963-6212. An inspection will be performed and if determined to be City responsibility, it will be included in future year maintenance programs.2018 Roadway Striping ProjectProposed Construction: July 2018This project consists of re-painting existing traffic lane lines, stop bars, crosswalks, lane arrows, and other pavement markings throughout the City.Additionally, the city will be re-striping the Darrow Rd./Glenwood Dr. Roundabout in Spring of 2018 when temperatures allow.
