Community Policing
The Twinsburg Police Department is continually striving to implement new Community Oriented Policing strategies, forming the partnership with the community. Current programs include Crime Prevention and Juvenile Diversion.

In community policing, the emphasis is on stopping crime before it happens. Community policing brings police and citizens together to prevent crime and solve neighborhood problems. In a community policing environment the police become part of the neighborhood. This helps police get a better sense of residents needs and helps residents get to know the police as people. Together, they are able to achieve a common goal -- a safer neighborhood.
