In cooperation with the Twinsburg City School District, one Twinsburg Police officer is assigned as a school resource officer or SRO, at Twinsburg High School  This officer is not a school official, but as the title suggests, this officer serves as a resource for Twinsburg High School to maintain an effective partnership between the police and the school district.  In addition to his traditional duties that include enforcing all laws on school grounds and investigating crimes, the officer provides educational programming in areas such as constitutional law, police procedure, substance abuse and peer mediation.  The officer is also available to answer questions individually for students, faculty, staff and parents.  He also works closely with the juvenile detective and the department's juvenile diversion program as well as Summit County Juvenile Court officials.
