2010 SUMMER SEASONAL JOBS

The City of Twinsburg is now accepting application for 2010 Seasonal Employees! Please complete and submit the Seasonal Employment Application only. The remaining documents are for your review and are not required until an employment offer is made. The rate of pay for the majority of our seasonal positions this year will be $7.30 per hour.

The rate of pay for the majority of our seasonal positions this year will be $7.30 per hour.

PART-TIME KID PARK ATTENDANT
TWINSBURG FITNESS CENTER 

Compensation: $7.30 p/h to $9.79 p/h
Deadline: Until Filled
 

POSITION SUMMARY
Supervises children in the care of Twinsburg Fitness Center Kid Park including assisting in the planning, organizing and implementation of all functions of the Kid Park within the Twinsburg Fitness Center. Maintains a healthy, safe and caring environment for kids in the Park. Leads daily schedule of activities for infants, toddlers, and youth in the Kid Park. Directs users in all policies and procedures established for the efficient use of the Kid Park. Maintains updated health and emergency records on all participants in the Kid Park. Interacts with users to encourage maximum proper use of all facilities.

Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:30 am to 12:30 pm

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of one (1) year job-related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Must possess current, valid Red Cross First Aid and CPR.



PART-TIME POLICE OFFICER
Compensation $19.62 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY
Enforces local and state laws, directs traffic, assists with public events including crowd control, provides citizens with information regarding their rights, assists with the care and custody of prisoners, transports evidence, individuals and prisoners as needed, books prisoners and conducts security checks, searches and inspects prisoners for safety and well-being, prepares and maintains daily work logs, reports and classified records, escorts inmates. Communicates and works with other patrol officers, law enforcement agencies, medical, legal, school or city personnel and/or others as necessary. Maintains and increases knowledge and skills through attendance at meetings, conferences, training seminars and in-service training sessions. Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalency.
Successful completion of Law Enforcement Officer Training Program as prescribed by the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy.
United States citizen.
At least twenty-one (21) years of age at time of appointment.
Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license with an acceptable driving record



PART-TIME POLICE DISPATCHER
 Compensation: $16.53 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY
Recieves incoming calls, dispatches police officers to crimes or emergency scenes, maintains communications logs, conducts periodic status reports/checks/inquires, assists with related clerical functions and periodically monitors the security of the facilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Must possess a valid drivers license and a high school diploma or GED
Must be eight-teen (18) years of age.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Ability to type 35 wpm
Must successfully complete background check and medical exam including drug screening, psychological exam and voice stress analyzer exam.
