Liberty Park Ground Breaking
June 18, 2003

Mayor Katherine Procop (in the center with red) breaks ground Wednesday evening (June 18) on the "active" recreation area of Liberty Park. Cavanaugh Construction, of Akron, will be responsible to finish the project which will include 3 ball diamonds, a football/soccer field, parking, a pavilion and walking paths. With cooperation from Mother Nature, the fields, located on the eastern most edge of Twinsburg on Liberty Road, will be ready for use next Spring. With the Mayor are members of the park task force, City commissions, City Council, youth leagues and the MetroParks serving Summit County.
