Tennis Program Partnership with LaTuchie Tennis Center
Twinsburg Parks & Recreation has formed a new partnership with the LaTuchie Tennis Center in Stow to bring you its 2008 tennis program.  The partnership provides our community access to an excellent staff of teaching professionals assembled by the LaTuchie Tennis Center. All lessons take place on Mondays and Wednesdays at the specified times and take place at Glenmeadow Park Tennis Courts off Glenwood Dr.  In addition, for those of you who enjoy tennis in Twinsburg through this program, the LaTuchie Tennis Center will offer additional indoor tennis opportunities during the winter. 

L'il Cubs Tennis 
(Ages 7 – 9)
This class emphasizes development of the basic strokes of tennis, including forehand, backhand, serve, and volley. Kids are taught in a fun, fast-paced environment, featuring games and activities designed to foster enthusiasm for the game. 10:15-11am     Resident-$49    Others-$59

Jr. Tiger Tennis (Ages 10 – 12)

Tiger Tennis (Ages 11-13) This class is for beginning to intermediate players. Students will work on all the basic strokes through a variety of drills and games. Point playing, along with the rules and scoring of tennis, will also be emphasized to help prepare players for match play. 11am-12pm    Resident-$66   Others-$79

Boys and girls in grades 1-5 can learn to play one of the fastest growing sports in the United States. Lacrosse is action packed and lots of fun. The sport has elements of soccer, football, basketball and hockey. Once you try lacrosse, you’ll love it! All equipment will be provided in this highly instructional program. Experienced coaches will be provided by Jump Start Sports, but parents are encouraged to learn about the sport so they can help teach and coach it to Twinsburg youth. All players will receive instruction on the fundamentals, including passing and catching, fielding ground balls, cradling, spacing and positioning and defense. Then they will be divided by gender and age to play fun, situational scrimmages which will help them learn more and enjoy the fast paced action of the game. Plastic sticks will be used and no checking, stick checking or poking will be allowed. No helmets or shoulder pads will be used. Players should wear cleats and a mouth guard.
Thursday evenings, May 1– June 5 6-7:15p at Tiger Stadium
Cost-$60 which includes ad Tiger Lacrosse t-shirt and a Jump Start Sports water bottle.

We will begin our 14th year of focusing on fast swimming, fitness ans fun. Our goal is to provide a friendly, challenging and engaging environment for all swimming abilities. If you are looking for some fun for the summer, join the twinsburg Tiger Sharks. Please keep in mind that the Tiger Sharks compete in the evenings. Meet dates will be announced during the first week of practice. Bathing suuit fittings will be the first 3 days of practice.
Days: Monday-Friday for ages 6-18
Dates: June 2-July 31 at the Waterpark
