The Golf Outing will take place on July 16, 2021.
On July 13, 2008 Officer Josh Miktarian was fatally shot during a traffic stop on State Route 91 and Glenwood Drive in Twinsburg. In his memory, a scholarship fund was formed to benefit those pursuing a degree in law enforcement. The Twinsburg Police Association Golf Outing has been organized to supplement this fund and other charities supported by the Twinsburg Police Association.
The scholarship fund was established to carry on Officer Miktarian's dedication to the field of Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement.
The Officer Joshua T Miktarian Memorial Scholarship Fund awards two $2,500 scholarships annually. One scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior from Twinsburg High School and one is awarded to a graduating senior from Tallmadge High School. Josh was a 1993 graduate of Tallmadge High School.
