A Friendly Crime Prevention Tip from Police Chief Chris Noga

A Friendly Crime Prevention Tip from Chief Noga: We handled a stolen vehicle call earlier this week

A Friendly Crime Prevention Tip from Chief Noga:

A  vehicle was recently taken from a driveway in one of our residential neighborhoods. Members of the Detective Bureau recovered the vehicle in Cleveland near Harvard Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard. A suspect will be charged and thankfully, there was no damage to the vehicle. The car thief told detectives he was able to easily steal the vehicle because it was left parked unlocked in the driveway with the keys inside.

While Twinsburg is a safe community, most of the crimes that occur in the City are those of opportunity. I encourage you to help keep our City safe by minimizing opportunities for even the casual criminal to victimize you. Please lock your vehicle when parked outside and do not leave the keys inside it at any time while parked. Thanks for doing your part to keep the City of Twinsburg the great community that it is.
