City of Twinsburg Wins Green Energy Award
The City of Twinsburg has been chosen as winner of The Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council’s (NOPEC), 2021 Green Ribbon Award. The award highlights the City’s efforts to promote energy efficiency within our city.
As a Green Ribbon Award recipient, the City will receive $2,500 to put toward energy efficiency initiatives. Out of the 14 communities considered for the award the City of Twinsburg’s window and doors project stood out to the judges for many reasons. Community involvement and the City’s clear understanding of the environmental, economic and social aspects were cited as primary reasons. When presenting the award at a recent council meeting, Caitlin Albright, Community Outreach Liaison at NOPEC stated that “this award is given to a community that has proven its efforts to create a green community”.
A special thank-you to Twinsburg City Planner Lynn Muter for her work on this project.
