No, employees that have the option of receiving health insurance from a spouse’s employer or another offered plan and who choose to “opt out” of the City’s healthcare insurance shall be compensated as follows:
Eligible for FAMILY coverage but waive ALL coverage - $250Eligible for FAMILY coverage, but choose SINGLE coverage - $150Eligible for FAMILY coverage, but choose ONLY DENTAL/VISION - $225Eligible for SINGLE coverage, but waive ALL coverage - $110Eligible for SINGLE coverage, but choose ONLY DENTAL/VISION - $100
When one of the following events happens; Marriage, Divorce, Birth or Adoption of a Dependent, Spouses loss of coverage through their employer, or Death of a Spouse or Dependent
You may change your medical plan election during Open Enrollment
After you have completed the medical plan enrollment process with Human Resources. You should expect to receive your card approximately 1-2 weeks after you enroll. Replacements cards can be ordered online by signing into your Medical Mutual account at www.medmutual.com.
