Our Facilities
Indoor Pool: The 326,000 gallon indoor pool located at Twinsburg Fitness Center includes two one-meter diving boards, an indoor slide, five water sprays, six swimming lanes of either 25 yards or 25 meters, shallow-depth teaching and recreational area. The pool is open to TFC members in addition to being used for swim lessons and competitive meets.
Outdoor Water Park: The Twinsburg Outdoor Water Park offers our youth and adult residents an array of amenities and features that rivals other community and private facilities in the area. You can’t beat a day in the sun with our huge water slide, an affordable concession stand, and an outstanding family atmosphere. Make a splash with a season pass this summer! Learn to Swim - Quality Instruction, Affordable Rates!
The following course descriptions and schedules cover ALL swim lessons offered. Please note that as the levels progress, it is not unusual for a child to repeat a level several times. Remember that each child is unique and is evaluated on their swimming ability, not age. If you are not sure about what level to place your child into; please feel free to ask the Aquatic Manager and staff. Please observe all swimming lessons from the pool balcony. Swim Lessons
- Parent and Child 1/Water Discovery (Ages 6 Months-3 Years): This introductory level class focuses on acclimating children to the pool environment, helping them gain confidence with water on their face and body. Caregivers will learn alongside their children, mastering basic safety skills.
- Parent and Child 2/Water Exploration (Ages 6 Months-3 Years): This level transitions from simple adjustment to active exploration. We focus on independent movement and fundamental swimming motions while keep the environment fun and familiar.
- Preschool Beginner (Ages 3-5): I cannot put my face in the water, need support to float, and want to become more comfortable in the water.
- Preschool Advanced (Ages 3-5): I can put my face in the water and am comfortable being in the pool. I am ready to start trying some swimming skills independently.
- Preschool Super Kids (Ages 3-5): I passed preschool advanced. I understand the basics of floating, kicking, and swimming and am ready to begin swimming independently and floating on my back.
School Age (6 & Older)
- Level 1: I want to be more comfortable in the water. I will need support to learn to float and swim independently.
- Level 2: I can go underwater. I do not need support to float or swim. I am ready to swim front crawl and tread independently.
- Level 3: I can swim front crawl 20 feet and tread without assistance. I am ready to learn elementary backstroke. I am ready to begin to combine multiple skills in a sequence while swimming such as treading, floating, and changing direction
- Level 4: I can swim the full 25-yard length of the pool using front crawl or elementary backstroke. I am ready to build endurance and learn breaststroke.
- Level 5: I can swim the full 50-yard lap of the pool using front crawl and elementary backstroke. I can swim 15-yards of breaststroke. I am ready to ready to begin diving from the pool edge and learn back crawl.

Swim Lessons Winter 2026 Session 2
Lessons are perfect for everyone. Whether you are a beginner swimmer or if you have been swimming for a long time and looking to perfect your technique, we are here to assist you!
Private Lessons are sold in a package of eight 30-minute lessons for ages 3 and up. Contact tkinser@twinsburg.oh.us to set up a time with one of our certified swim instructors.

5A Top Training Program in Northeast Ohio!
Lifeguard Training: Join an elite team of aquatic professionals by taking the American Red Cross Lifeguard course. Learn lifesaving techniques, gain leadership skills, and make new friends. All participants must pass a pre-requisite test on the first day including a swim test. At the end of the class participants will have earned a Lifeguard Training and First Aid certificate, CPR-PR certificate and an AED certificate.
Water Safety Instructor: Instructor candidates will be trained to teach water safety, including Basic Water Rescue course, six levels of Learn to Swim, and Parent Child Aquatics.
Lifeguard Re-Certification: Ready to get back to lifeguarding? Our review classes will get you back up to speed with everything you need know. All topics will be covered.
Lifeguard Instructor Training Course: The course will train instructor candidates to teach basic level: lifeguarding, CPR/AED for the professional rescuer, administering emergency oxygen, blood-borne pathogens training, disease transmission, and basic water rescue. Candidates will also becoming familiar with GuardStart, Lifeguarding Tomorrow, and the Water Safety presentations.

Twinsburg Tiger Sharks Recreational Swim Team is a social, summer swim team for ages 6-18 that focuses on engaging children through teamwork, personal goals, and sportsmanship. Swimmers will end the season with a love for swimming, improved stroke techniques, increased self-confidence and self-esteem, as well as lifelong friendships.
Practices will be held Monday-Friday at the Twinsburg Outdoor Waterpark. Swim meets will be held at various locations Tuesdays and/or Thursdays in the surrounding communities.

Indoor Pool: Safe pools have rules
AGE GUIDELINES (EXCEPT DURING TFC PROGRAMS)
Ages 6 and under: Adult must always be in the water within arm’s reach
Ages 6-10: Must be accompanied by an adult IN the pool area
Ages 10-14:Allowed only in shallow water until swim test is passed
SAFETY
Always obey the lifeguards.
All unsafe behavior, as determined by the lifeguard, is prohibited.
Parents are ultimately responsible for the safety of their children.
Swim diapers are to be worn by anyone who is not toilet trained.
Appropriate swimwear is required when using the pool.
T-shirts, jean shorts, cut off shorts, gym shorts, thong style bathing suits are NOT permitted.
Everyone must shower before entering the pool, showers are in the locker rooms or on the pool deck.
Food, drinks, and gum are prohibited. Water bottles are allowed, no glass containers.
Only Coast Guard approved flotation devices are allowed.
Place all personal items in locker.
Starting blocks are for swim team or program use by certified instructors only.
One person is allowed on the diving board at a time. Wait for the person in front of you to dive and reach the ladder or wall before approaching the board. Dive or jump off the end of the board. NO BACK DIVES OR FLIPS.
ETIQUETTE
Please be courteous and respectful to the staff and other patrons.
Vulgar, offensive language, or gestures will not be tolerated.
Please report any incidents or problems to the Aquatics Staff.
The pool will close 30 minutes before the building closes.
The Twinsburg Fitness Center is open to the community; rental of space and equipment does take place.
