How often are the sanitary sewer services billed by the city, and what is the residential rate? Is it tied to the amount of water used?

The city operates its own independent wastewater treatment plant, and therefore sanitary sewer charges are billed directly to residents on a quarterly basis by the city. The amount is currently a quarterly flat rate of $62.50 as determined by Ordinance. The City of Cleveland is the city’s water utility provider, and therefore a separate quarterly bill will be received for water usage. Cleveland’s Division of Water can be reached at 216-664-2444.
