How do I obtain a police incident or traffic crash report?
There are 3 ways to obtain a copy of a police incident or traffic crash report.

The quickest and easiest way to obtain a report is through our Records Bureau page. To search the report database, you need to know the report number, date of incident, street name, or last name of an involved party. You can access the report database 24 hours a day. The report can be saved as a PDF or printed by you at no cost.

The 2nd way of obtaining a report is by faxing a request for a report to the Records Bureau at 330-963-6434, again providing the report number, date of incident, street name, name of an involved party, and a return fax number. This method is also free. You may fax a request at any time of the day, but the Records Bureau will only respond to the request during their business hours.

The 3rd way of obtaining a report is by stopping by the Records Bureau in person. The Records Bureau is open Monday through Friday (excluding holidays), from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (closed from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. for lunch). Black and white documents cost $.06 per page and color documents cost $.08 per page. There are additional costs for other media requests such as audio or video files.
